I hope you are keeping well.  I want to update you on a piece of work we are doing.  We have audited the disabled toilet on the main concourse which is an old toilet with space restrictions. 

 

The main issue we can see is that there is limited space to manoeuvre due to the door opening inwards and fact there are two doors to overcome.  We plan on removing the inner door completely and its frame so that when you go into the toilet door you are in the toilet and lock it behind you – this will greatly increase the room to manoeuvre and should make it much more user friendly.  I don't know if you recall the toilet but want to see what your thoughts would be on such a change?

Here is the draft signage plan with a site map which identifies where the signs will be located.  If you have any comments on this please revert asap as this is going out to tender this week.  Unfortunatly the property manager cannot meet you this week on this so any suggestions need to be made in the interim but we can arrange to meet for a few weeks time once some progress is made.

Hi Trina,

 

Nice to hear that progress is been made. Will the exterior signs include identifying designated parking places, as one enters the airport & does it identify access from car park via steps and ramps? I would prefer to meet with one of the airport committee to discuss location of signs as I feel that if it is not done properly the opportunity in getting it right the first time will be missed.

We can certainly arrange a meeting.  We have a signage plan out to tender at present which will include a number of PRM related signs including parking.  Could we aim for the end of July/early August when I hope the new signage will be in place?
