Tom,

    How are things going?  I think I should send more e mails, but there is really much going on here.  Cathy and I went to Mackinaw Island in upper Michigan last month.   They banned cars there in 1908 so everything is horse drawn, and quaint, and touristy.  We drove around the peninsula and saw three Great Lakes in one day.   We went to bear farm, and the keeper let Cathy hold a bear cub.  Teddy bears may be cute and cuddly but real bear cubs are amazingly strong, so when one decides to eat your hat there isn't much you can do about it.
 We are flying out to Denver in two weeks to see the kids in a couple of weeks.  With both of them living our there, we only see them every so often so it will be nice.  They have a Renaissance Festival just south of Denver - jousts, mead,  jesters and all.  It should be a lot of fun.
