People with an Intellectual Disability to brief Oireachtas Members on International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Brendan O'Connor to chair briefing by Inclusion Ireland Self-Advocacy Committee to Politicians

Date:  Tuesday 3rd December 2013

Time:  1.30pm-2.30pm

Venue:  European Union House, 43 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2

Who:  Self-Advocacy* sub-committee of Inclusion Ireland (speakers), Brendan O'Connor, Deputy Editor of the Sunday Independent (chairperson)

'Break barriers, open doors: for an inclusive society for all' is the theme of the United Nations' 2013 'International Day of Persons with Disabilities', which will be celebrated on Tuesday 3rd December.

Inclusion Ireland's self-advocacy sub-committee of the Board will mark this important day by briefing Oireachtas Members on what issues matter to them.

The briefing will take place in European Union House on Dawson Street, from 1.30pm-2.30pm. Brendan O'Connor, Deputy Editor of the Sunday Independent, will chair the briefing.
