Former IRA man Bernard McGinn found dead at his home in Monaghan
Gardaí have confirmed that a sudden death was reported to officers in Monaghan Town at around 2pm yesterday afternoon.
A FORMER IRA member who was convicted of killing the last British soldier to die before the Good Friday Agreement has been found dead at his home in Monaghan.

It's understood that the man was McGinn, 56, who was convicted of murdering Lance Bombardier Stephen Restorick in south Armagh in 1997.
McGinn received three life sentences for the murder and was also convicted of other IRA-related offences including bomb-making, but he was released after serving just a few months of his sentence under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement.
Gardaí added that the death is not being treated as suspicious. A post mortem is due to take place later today.
