letter to Aldi store management

The Manager

28th February 2008
Dear Sir or Madam
Firstly I would like to Congratulate you on the two new stores in Castlebar and Claremorris I have used both and find as a wheelchair user they are nicely spaced out inside the shop.
Now I would like to bring to your attention the parking facilities, and the misuse of designated Car parking spaces at both these shops.
I have been in the car park waiting for a designated space while able bodied drivers wait in the spaces!!
Also there is not adequate signage in place in the designated bays at either stores these should be displayed at 2200mm from ground level
Also the blue material used at the bays is worn away particularly at Castlebar and is being blown into regular bays causing confusing for other drivers maybe with visual impairment.
Location wise the wheelchair trolleys are located at the end of the trolley bay the furthest point from the entrance to the shops !!
Signage in the shop is also poor and for a wheelchair user it makes shopping harder if they cannot see a visual sign to the right produce.
Signs would make accessibility more easy and less time consuming.
The staff have been efficient and friendly on all occasions and I look forward to continuous shopping in these premises, but would like a response from you on these issues, which are effecting all wheelchair user /drivers and passengers
Yours sincerely
