Dear CIL Collegues,
Please note that the official National launch of the Center for Independent Living's Pre-Budget Submission 2011 will take place in the Mansion House, Dublin, on Thursday the 14th of October from 12.30pm.
The National launch will take place on the same day, and in the same venue, as the Disability Federation of Ireland launch. By doing so we aim to utilise economies of scale and cut the costs associated with such events, while ensuring maximum media coverage.
As CIL has the advantage of being a network of organisations I hope that this will be one of many launches of the Submission taking place, throughout the country, during the months of October and November. It has never been more important for CIL to fully utilise the power of its numbers and ensure that all of our political representatives are aware of the main issues that impact on the lives of the people we represent. Attached you will find a copy of the Submission for your information and I would urge you all to please utilise the support of the CIL Carmichael House staff, where required, to help role out your individual campaigns.
I do understand that as we have a Council meeting on the 16th of October many of you will not be in a position to attend. However I would ask any individual interested in attending the launch on the 14th to please confirm their attendance to susanobrien@dublincil.org at your earliest convenience
