Workers at Lufthansa took times off work to go to the Dail on Thursday morning to put their case to the government about keeping an airline maintenance industry.

They lost pay to put their case to the relevant Minister.

They were told, however, that the Minister for Enterprise Trade and Employment, Richard Bruton, was 'unavailable' to meet with the,

They assumed that he was on important business, possibly organising trade missions to encourage multinationals to set up in Ireland.

What they did not know was that he was sitting in a cafe on Molesworth street having his cuppa like a man of leisure.

The photograph above proves it. Local Clondalkin Councillor, Ginno Kenny, is sitting at the left of the picture while our VIP minister is on his right.

The Coalition government have been hounding public sector workers for not giving enough productivity. But here is a government minister taking a very early tea-break at 10.30.

More importantly, he avoided meeting workers because he did not see them as important as the corporate executives.

What a disgrace.
