Issues discussed regarding Civic Offices:
1. Disabled parking signs at designated parking bays.
2. Moving seating at front entrance of building.
3. Automatic doors at entrance and inside building.
4. Way finding inside building e.g. to toilets.
5. Improvements that could be made to designated toilets.
6. Ways to prevent light coming through windows for visually impaired.
7. Loop insulation in courthouse.
8. Lift in courthouse.
9. Signs to identify direction to Civic Offices in Belmullet.
Issues discussed regarding new steel bridge over canal at school side entrance:
1. Seating to be identified for visually impaired.
2. Paving to be finished.
3. Edging to be identified on left of paving.
4. Handrails on bridge to be checked for correct height.
5. Tactile paving at approach to bridge.
6. Sign to identify access across bridge.
Issues discussed regarding designated parking in Belmullet town centre:
1. Bays need to be universally accessible.
2. Access to pavement required at bays.
3. Appropriate signs at bays.
Issues discussed regarding ramp and footpath along the river in Bangor:
1. Ramp will need appropriate tactile at top and bottom of ramp.
2. Edging on both sides of ramp and footpath at least 70mm high.
3. Concern was raised at the location of the entrance to the footpath as parking will be a problem.
All of the above issues are to be discussed with Seamus Butler and Tom McDonnell.
